About

Built for people who want to see the math.

Calculator Online is a free, open-source-spirited collection of calculators where the formula, the variables, and the sources are all on the same page. Not buried in a methodology PDF.

About · Mission

Our mission

Make the math behind every number visible.

Most calculator sites on the web treat the formula as a trade secret. The result appears, but you have no way to verify it. If the math is wrong, you only find out when something breaks.

We do the opposite. The formula is at the top of every page. The variables are labeled. The source is linked. You can audit the math in 30 seconds.

That's the entire pitch.

What we value

Four ideas, applied to every calculator on the site.

Transparency over magic

Every formula is visible on the page. We cite the source paper, equation, or standard. If we use live data, we tell you where it comes from and when it last updated.

Accuracy is the product

A calculator is only as good as its math. We verify every formula against authoritative references (NIH, WHO, ECB, IMF, peer-reviewed papers) before publishing.

Speed is respect

Pages are statically generated and shipped as plain HTML. No multi-megabyte JavaScript bundles. No spinners. No tracking pixels slowing things down.

Education, not extraction

Calculators that explain themselves. We pair the result with a worked example, a definition glossary, and the math behind it. So you learn while you compute.

Principles

Six rules we don't break.

01Cite every formula
02Static-first architecture
03Mobile-first layouts
04Zero tracking pixels
05Open about limitations
06Update dates visible

Who we are

A small editorial team obsessed with primary sources.

Calculator Online is built and maintained by a small team of developers, writers, and subject-matter contributors. We're based remotely across three time zones.

Every calculator goes through a review checklist before publication: formula citation, worked example, edge-case handling, source link, mobile pass, accessibility pass.
